SIEPR’s Activities

SIEPR is involved in numerous activities that help to further the creation of sound economic policy.

SIEPR facilitates intellectual exchange between academic scholars, leaders in the business community and government officials. SIEPR holds conferences on various topics, monthly Associates meetings, and smaller group meetings. Participants come from diverse backgrounds government, academics, non-profits, and the business community. Many of SIEPR's meetings are videotaped and broadcast on the Stanford Channel.

SIEPR is also known as a visitor's center for economic policy researchers. Visitors come to SIEPR from India, Latin America, Korea, China, and Europe to study and broaden their existing views on economic policy research. These visitors enrich the atmosphere by lecturing to students, faculty and the community. Their research findings are often published in books or papers giving SIEPR a truly global perspective.
