Stanford University’s annual State of the West Symposium takes stock of the economic and fiscal health of North America’s Western region. We gather academics, business and financial leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders to address the well-being of the millions of Americans, Canadians, and Mexicans who dwell on the sunset side of the hundredth meridian.

The 2023 symposium will mark the 10th joint program between the Bill Lane Center for the American West and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). It will focus on relations among the continent’s three countries, with special attention to the continuing crisis along the U.S.-Mexican border running along the four “frontline” states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

We would like to invite you to view these trade and border charts related to the event.
