Fellowship Guidelines

Awards will be made on a competive basis.

Applicants must be Stanford students in good standing.

To apply for a fellowship the candidates should submit the following:

  1. A one page summary describing (i) the output of the dissertation research and (ii) the value of the dissertation research for economic policy where appropriate.
  2. A detailed dissertation prospectus 5 to 8 pages double-spaced and/or a draft of your job market paper.
  3. A letter of recommendation from the thesis supervisor which indicates the feasibility and significance of the dissertation as well as likelihood that it will be completed during the academic year 2008-2009.
