Hillel Rapoport
April, 2002

Hillel Rapoport is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Research on Economic Development and Policy Research (CREDPR), one of two centers in the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Bar-Ilan University in Israel and affiliated with CADRE at the University of Lille in France. His research focuses on the growth effects of migration in developing countries, either directly (e.g., the brain drain, remittances, return migration) or through the impact of migration on economic inequality. He is currently preparing a handbook chapter on "The Economics of Migrants' Remittances," and also works on the political economy of ethnic conflicts and the institutional analysis of minorities.
