Professor Bernheim is the Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor in Economics. Effective government decision-making requires accurate information concerning the effects of taxation and public spending on the choices of households and businesses. Accordingly, the Tax and Budget Policy Program supports research that investigates the impact of taxes, public expenditures, and government priorities on the private economy.
