Health Policy Program
Alan M. Garber, Director
Faculty at the Health Policy Program work on understanding how to improve the efficiency of the U.S. health care system and how to use the tools of economic analysis to improve health and health care in both the developing world and in wealthy nations. There are a large number of economic-related health-policy faculty at Stanford: Victor Fuchs, Alain Enthoven, Alan Garber, Jay Bhattacharya, Lauren Baker, Kate Bundorff, and some of the postdoctoral scholars. This new research group at SIEPR is intended to provide a home, funding for conferences, and a supply of new young health policy scholars.
