OVERVIEW
  The 2006 Pan Asia Conference examined economic issues in Asia with a focus on what the emergence of China and India will mean to the entire region. SCID's policy conferences bring together academics, policy-makers from developing countries and the U.S., and senior officials from NGOs.

Stanford University Professor John Taylor moderated a panel on Regional Finance and Monetary Issues.
The panel participants were Rakesh Mohan, the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India: Takatoshi Ito, a Professor at the Graduate School of Economics and the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo; and Madame Wu Xiaoling, the First Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China.
