The forum will bring together Stanford researchers interested in the social science of traditional and digital media. Participants will be drawn from a broad range of fields, including communications, political science, computer science, linguistics, economics, statistics, psychology, and engineering. Speakers will give informal presentations on past or current research. The event will be jointly sponsored by the Center for Computational Social Science, a branch of the Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS), and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR).
