Forty years have passed since Social Security saw any major changes. Changing demographics have resulted in deficits in program finances, and nonpartisan congressional budget forecasters project trust fund reserves to run out by 2035. This imbalance is easier dealt with sooner than later -- so what prevents policymakers from taking action? Join us on April 21 for an examination of past and present policies that are guiding Social Security’s future.
