Diogo Guillen

Diogo Guillen served as the Deputy Governor for Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Brazil from 2022 to 2025, where he was a voting member of the Monetary Policy Committee and led research, statistics, and monetary policy communication. Prior to this, he was Chief Economist at Itaú Asset Management and Senior Economist at Gavea Investimentos. Diogo has also taught macroeconomics and international finance at Insper and PUC-Rio. His research, published in both policy and academic journals, primarily focuses on international finance and macroeconomics, with an emphasis on monetary policy and central banking. Diogo holds a PhD in Economics from Princeton University (2013) and a degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio)
