Jeff Clemens is an assistant professor at the University of California at San Diego. He has examined Medicare’s effects on the care physicians provide to the elderly, the development of new medical technologies, and payment models used by private health insurers. His research on the U.S. labor market has focused on the effects of recent minimum wage increases on employment opportunities for individuals with low levels of experience and education. He is a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
