About

Simon Jäger is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He graduated with a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University after studying economics at the University of Bonn and at the University of California, Berkeley. His work combines experimental and quasi-experimental methods with large, administrative datasets to shed light on the functioning of labor markets and the origins and consequences of inequality.
