Adam Gorlick

Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR)

As SIEPR’s director of communications and public affairs, Adam oversees the institute’s print and digital communications strategies and is responsible for the dissemination of scholarship to broad audiences of policymakers, academics, journalists and others interested in economic policy.

Adam joined SIEPR in 2015 after working for four years as the assistant director for communications at Stanford’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. From 2008 to 2011 he covered social science research as a writer for the university’s News Service.

Before coming to Stanford, Adam spent a decade reporting for The Associated Press. He covered state legislatures and Congress, and wrote about political corruption, organized crime, poverty and child welfare issues. He also covered federal courts, education, agriculture, religion and the arts for newspapers in Connecticut, North Carolina, Massachusetts and California.

Adam is from New Haven, Conn., and holds a bachelor's degree from Clark University.
