Maksym Khomenko is a PhD Economics student at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). His current research focuses on social insurance (unemployment and health) and the role of the estate and inheritance taxation in behavior and welfare of older individuals. Maksym is interested in various topics in Public Economics, Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, Applied Microeconometrics and Applied Microtheory.
Maksym has a MSc degree in Economics from the University of Warwick. He was a visiting PhD scholar at the University of Oxford during 2016 and a consultant at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) during 2016-2017. Maksym will be visiting SIEPR during 2017-2018 academic year.
