Undergraduate RA request form

SIEPR is pleased to provide administrative and financial support for faculty members and postdocs to hire undergraduates as research assistants.  During the academic year we will fund up to two RAs per faculty member at the rate of $17.50 per hour.  Over the summer, SIEPR will sponsor a ten-week Summer RA program.

Academic Year RA Project Information
Due to Stanford’s Administrative guidelines, prospective undergraduate RA applicants SHOULD NOT begin work on these projects until their hiring applications have been submitted and approved by Stanford’s Human Resources department. Please note that if the student has an additional job on campus it will directly impact their availability on your project (there is a 15 hour/week maximum for undergraduates.) If you do not already have an RA identified, we will assist you in publicizing your RA opportunity, with the applications coming directly to you for review. Once you have identified the student(s) you’d like to hire, please contact Lisa Gounod (lgounod@stanford.edu) with the student’s name and email address. Once the RA has been approved by Stanford HR, SIEPR will let you know that the student can begin work.

Summer RA Project Information
SIEPR is sponsoring a ten-week Summer RA program from June 22 - August 28, 2020. Summer RAs receive a stipend for 10 forty-hour workweeks that will be devoted to research work under the discretion of their faculty mentor. Research projects must be designed to allow RAs to work online from home, and faculty mentors must be able to supervise the project remotely.
