Ian Christian Galvez Sills is a sophomore majoring in economics and minoring in international relations at Stanford University. Born and raised in Northern California, Ian has always appreciated the natural environment leading to his interest in the intersection of climate change and economics. At SIEPR, Ian is currently working with Dr. Alissa Kleinnijenhuis on her research in climate change and finance. As a research assistant, he conducts data-driven climate stress tests on various types of firms to evaluate their risk and the opportunities arising from climate change and transition toward green assets.
