About the speaker

Michael Webb is a Ph.D. candidate in the Economics Department at Stanford University. He studies artificial intelligence, the labor market, and economic growth. His recent research includes a project studying the impacts of automation technologies on the labor market, and another that asks whether researchers are getting less productive (the answer, unfortunately, is yes!).
